WHY CHOOSE A BOARD-CERTIFIED ORTHODONTIST?
Meet Dr. Mian
Choosing an orthodontist is a big decision. You want to choose someone that is not only clinically qualified, but also values your relationship and respects your time. Dr. Mian is that person! Born into a family of physicians, Dr. Mian forged her own path when she found her passion for orthodontics.
With over a decade of experience in the field, Dr. Mian knows how to help patients achieve the results they desire. She has a soft spot in her heart for treating children with cleft palates after working at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Do orthodontists have to be board certified?
Board certification is a voluntary achievement. Out of the 19,000 members of the AAO (American Association of Orthodontics), about 58% are board-certified. The rising number of board-certified orthodontists is a testament to the ABO’s commitment to advancing the standard of care when it comes to orthodontics.
Am I too old for orthodontic treatment?
The good news is that you are never too old for orthodontic treatment or to get the smile you want. In fact, 1 in 4 orthodontic patients are adults, and that number is rising. Orthodontic treatment not only improves the look of your smile, but also helps promote better oral and overall health.
